WTF

Dear Exit177,

I really don't know much about the economy, but doesn't this seem like an egregious waste of resources/time/MONEY? Is this supposed to be some sort of economy boost? Would it not make more sense to just stop making pennies? How much is this even costing? Will someone please tell me what the rationale behind this decision is?

This is what you see when you walk about 200 feet south from my apartment. Its called Lake Merritt. And it will host the Fourth Annual Fall Fun Fest's newest event; "The Statesmen Aquatic". (click on the pic for a link, you can discover mind-fucking facts like, "Did you know, Lake Merritt was the first federal wildlife refuge???") We'll be renting boats (still trying to decide which vessel will be most appropriate, several to chose from) and racing. If there are any "experienced sailors" in the group, we'll be able to rent a small, proper, sailing vessel and socio-economically-chest-bump those East Bay land lovers.
